KIMPAVITA is an innovative platform that gathers, disseminates, and amplifies the voices of African feminist activists, research, and resources that support this struggle. Its mission? To raise awareness and mobilize society in support of women's rights and gender equality in Africa, through the promotion of cultural activities, in an eco-responsible and pan-African approach.
Since 2021, it has organized a multidisciplinary, pan-African, feminist, and eco-responsible cultural festival, broadcasts a podcast on African feminisms, screens thematic films, and organizes feminist conferences and debates in public spaces. Starting in 2023, it established a research laboratory and expanded its activities to rural areas of Senegal, as well as to schools and universities.

For this third season, we delve into a theme that is both intimate and political: the bodies of African women. How they inhabit them, how they are cared for. How they are judged, controlled, and sexualized. But also: how they are liberated.
Through six episodes, we will explore the links between the bodies of African women and history, culture, society… and politics.
